Acceptance and Confirmation of your Booking is subject to the following
conditions: -
Your Conditions Of Hire
Please read this page carefully. When you book your holiday with us you are
entering into a contract which binds you and us in various ways. Your contract
is with Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd. Your holiday may be the most important family
purchase you make this year. So we believe that the obligations between you and
us should be clear, concise and fair.
(1) Arrival and Departure Times
Arrival times are between 16.00 and 20.00 hours on the day of arrival. Departure
time of 10.00am, latest on day of departure is imperative. No later time is
allowed. These times must be strictly adhered to. In the event that you are
unable to arrive at the specific time, please inform the manager (028-21764 ) of
your time of arrival. We cannot guarantee acceptance of an earlier or later
arrival time request, however we will endeavour to do all possible to
accommodate you.
(2) Accommodation Capacity
For insurance reasons the total number of clients staying at each holiday home
must not exceed the maximum capacity. As the capacity in each home may vary, it
is important that you check with
www.celticruralretreats.com website in advance, to ensure you do not
exceed the limit, which applies to the house you booked. The company reserves
the right to terminate the contract and remove the occupants from the holiday
home should the number of client’s staying exceed the maximum capacity for the
said holiday home.
(3) Bed Linen
Bed linen and towels are supplied free of charge in each holiday home per stay.
When a holiday home is being rented for more than 1 week, you may liase directly
with the Manager if fresh bed linen is required.
(4) Security/Breakages Deposit & Cleaning
A refundable security deposit of E100.oo per week will apply. The deposit will
be refunded and credited to the client’s credit card account once the
Housekeeper is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been
complied with and no damage has occurred. Final cleaning is included in the
rental charge, but failure to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy
condition, will result in a charge of E60.00. .
(5) Booking Deposit
A booking deposit of E200.00 per holiday home per week is required. No invoice
or letter of confirmation can be dispatched to you until all deposits have been
received.
(6) Balance of Payment
75% holiday home rental must be paid, no later than four weeks prior to rental
commencement date. Late payments may result in the holiday home bookings being
cancelled without advance client’s notification. The Rental Balance and
Security/Breakages Deposit is payable on arrival .
(7) Cancellation by Customer
In the event that you wish to cancel your holiday home reservation, the
following charges will apply. Outside eight weeks from arrival date you FORFEIT
your booking deposit.
Within the eight weeks of commencement the balance will only be refunded if we
are successful in re-letting the property. There will not be a refund if the
customer arrives late or vacates the property prior to expiration of their
booking. We recommend that travel insurance is taken out to cover such problems.
(8) Electricity Charges
A standard charge of E35.00 per week applies for electricity usage whilst using
the holiday home. This charge is debited to the client’s credit card on
departure. Central heating is on a meter. Clients are charged per litre of oil
used. This charge is debited to the client’s credit card on departure.
(9) Insurance
It is strongly recommended that client’s take out holiday insurance to cover the
possibility of cancellation charges.
(10) Default by the consumer
The consumer is obliged to ensure that all documentation and details issued to
you by Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd is correct. In the unlikely event that you do
not agree with our documentation, it must be brought to our attention
immediately.
(11) Pets
Pets are not permitted in any holiday home under any circumstances.
(12) Behaviour
Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd. reserves the right to terminate this contract if the
behaviour or conduct of the customer either prior to or during a holiday is
likely to endanger the safely or well being of other customers in the party or
that of the customer himself/ herself.
(13) Right to Decline
Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd reserves the right to refuse, alter or cancel a
booking even after receipt of final balance payment. In addition, the company is
relieved of all liability should reserved accommodation not be available due to
circumstances beyond our control. In such instances, alternative arrangements
will be made in similar accommodation, or a full refund will be offered.
However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a client is
requested to vacate, or leaves of their own accord, prior to expiration of their
booking.
(14) Liability
Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any
damage, loss or personal injury which may be sustained by persons or property at
any time during the reserved stay.
(15) Disabled Persons
It shall be the consumer’s responsibility to disclose, prior to booking, to
Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd any physical or mental condition of a member of the
party, which may be relevant. Celtic Rural Retreats Ltd reserves the right to
decline or provide a holiday for a disabled person where in our mind that
holiday would be inconsistent with the special needs of a disabled person.
(16) Complaints
In the unlikely event of a complaint, it should be brought to the attention of
the manager. Failing a satisfactory resolution the complaint should be placed in
writing within 14 days to Customer Service Department, Celtic Rural Retreats
Ltd., Avenue House, Boreenamanna Road, Cork City, Ireland.
